Kate Fleming-Kuhn is a USDF Certified Instructor through 4th Level and USDF Bronze, Silver (at age 16), and Gold Medalist (at age 21). Kate has trained horses and riders through FEI with regional and national success. Kate had much success as a junior/young rider winning a Silver Medal at the FEI Junior Championships in 1999 and a Bronze Medal at the NAYRC in 2001. In 2007, Kate ranked 5th in the country and qualified for the the USEF Brentina Cup. Kate's introduction to horses came early through her father. She began riding at StarWest as a junior rider in 1992, taking lessons with Alice Martin. Kate continues her education under her long time mentor, Gerhard Politz, with whom she has ridden since 1998 in clinics and as a working student. Kate has also ridden regularly under Col. Christian Carde, Conrad Schumacher, and Lilo Fore.   Kate is riding Royal Flash.
