    Rancho Murieta, CA (April 24, 2017) — When Wendy Christoff arrived in Rancho Murieta, California for her tenth year competing at the Golden State Dressage Festival, the odds seemed to be stacked against her. The Canadian dressage rider and coach traveled all the way from Delta, British Columbia with her two Dutch Warmblood geldings, 17-year-old Treffer (Niagara x Haarlem) and seven-year-old Flash (Van Gough x Jalonde), both of whom would have a lot to overcome if they were to do well at the show.

    Wellington, FL (April 5, 2017) – Custom Saddlery recognizes excellence – in both the rider in the saddle and in the saddle itself. That’s why the Custom Saddlery MVR (Most Valuable Rider) Award presented at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival was given to Grand Prix dressage rider Devon Kane. Kane competed and trained several horses throughout the winter show series in Wellington, Florida this year, and she and her team at Diamante Farms are also founding sponsors of the series. Devon Kane received a Custom Saddlery saddle pad, tote bag, ribbon, and golf towel as the newest recipient of the Custom Saddlery MVR Award.

  • Custom Saddlery Honors U.S. Rider Olivia LaGoy-Weltz with MVR Award at Adequan Global Dressage Festival

    Wellington, FL (March 28, 2017) — Each week of the 2017 Adequan Global Dressage Festival, Custom Saddlery has presented its Most Valuable Rider (MVR) Award to a deserving equestrian who contributes to the quality and success of the iconic show series and to the dressage community in general. The final award of the season was presented to FEI Grand Prix rider and trainer Olivia LaGoy-Weltz, who competed in the series’ CDI circuit with her own Lonoir (De Noir x Lorani), a 2004 Danish Warmblood gelding. LaGoy-Weltz, a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalist based out of northern Virginia and Wellington, Florida, represented the U.S. during the Stillpoint Farm FEI Nations Cup™ CDIO 3* in the final week of the 2017 Adequan Global Dressage Festival.

    Wellington, FL (March 21, 2017) — For Olympian Evi Strasser, competing in the sport of dressage is ultimately about having a good time – and the more, the merrier. Strasser, whose philosophy is echoed in the name of her training facility, Good Tyme Stables, has been competing at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival since its inception and returns every year with a large group of clients as part of her endeavor to bring horses and riders successfully up through the levels of dressage. Despite the long trip from their home base in Ste-Adele, Quebec, Strasser and Good Tyme Stables returned to Wellington this year with a total of 19 horses.

    Wellington, FL (March 14, 2017) — Susanne Hamilton and her little equine partner Lutz, an imported 14-year-old, 15.2-hand Haflinger gelding (Argument x Mandy, Navis Van De Wellenhoff) owned by Bettina Hinckley, have captivated audiences with their success in, and out, of the arena. Not only did Lutz debut in his first U.S. CDI in February at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival CDI3* in Wellington, Florida, but he and Hamilton have since raked in the accolades and impressed crowds with their pluck and determination.
