Custom Saddlery To Deliver Olympian Experience at Adequan®/California Dressage Society 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting & Symposium
Del Mar, CA (January 19, 2017) — This weekend, January 20-22, 2017, Custom Saddlery will sponsor the Adequan®/California Dressage Society (CDS) 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting and Symposium, presented by DressageClinic.com. As an official California Dressage Society 50th Anniversary Saddle Sponsor, Custom Saddlery will ensure a weekend of excitement by donating a top-quality saddle to the CDS Saddle Spectacular Raffle and bringing some of the most respected professionals in the dressage world up close and personal for riders and dressage enthusiasts to meet.
The Adequan®/California Dressage Society 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting and Symposium, to be held at the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar and Del Mar Fairgrounds, will feature four presenters – Olympians Steffen Peters, Charlotte Bredahl-Baker, Hilda Gurney, and Christine Traurig. These highly acclaimed presenters will instruct on everything from young horses and riders to high performance. Three of the four presenters – Peters, Bredahl-Baker, and Gurney – will ride throughout the event in their Custom Saddlery saddles, which they never go without.
Dubbed “Custom Saddlery MVRs (Most Valuable Riders)” by Custom Saddlery, Peters, Bredahl-Baker, and Gurney will then join Custom Saddlery saddle fitter Alis Carbone to sign and give away Custom Saddlery baseball caps at Custom’s booth. These dressage Olympic veterans will be signing the free hats on Sunday, January 22, during the event’s lunch break (noon – 1:00 pm). Stop by to get a baseball cap, a signature, or talk to Carbone about how to get your own Custom saddle. Carbone fits saddles in the San Diego area, Arizona, and New Mexico.
Bredahl-Baker is an Olympic medalist, 4* judge, U.S. Assistant Dressage Youth Coach, and popular trainer and clinician. Gurneyhas had enormous impact on U.S. dressage over the decades as a judge and breeder, and boasts a competition record that includes Olympic Team Bronze in 1976; Individual Gold, Silver, and three Team Golds at the Pan Am Games; and six USET National Grand Prix titles on her Hall of Fame partner, Keen. Peters, who has represented the United States on four Olympic dressage squads (including the Bronze medal team in Rio in 2016), describes Custom saddles as “simply the best saddles on the market.” Peters rides Rosamunde 20 in an Icon Flight, and his well-known partner Legolas 92 is ridden in a Custom Revolution.
Over the weekend, the California Dressage Society will be raffling off an Advantage R Custom saddle, donated by Custom Saddlery to help support California Dressage Society educational activities. This saddle is black leather with a standard flap and short knee roll, and features a red, white, and blue welt in the loops. The lucky saddle winner will be drawn on Sunday afternoon.
