Custom Saddlery Becomes Title Sponsor of 2018 Intercollegiate Dressage Association National Championships
Painesville, OH — In continuing its commitment to support the next generation of talented dressage riders, Custom Saddlery has become the official title sponsor of the 2018 Intercollegiate Dressage Association National Championships. Custom Saddlery has been a generous sponsor of the Intercollegiate Dressage Association National Championships for over five years and is proud to further expand this partnership during this year’s April 26-29 National Championships held at Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio.
Custom Saddlery shares the Intercollegiate Dressage Association mission of fostering development, understanding and appreciation of dressage through student competition and educational opportunities. As part of the company’s title sponsorship, each competitor on the winning Intercollegiate Dressage Association team will receive a new Custom Saddle. Custom Saddlery will also gift brand merchandise to all dressage riders who qualified for the National Championships and be on-site throughout the competition to offer expert saddle fitting information. Additionally, two teams will be awarded an exclusive full-day saddle fitting workshop with an official Custom Saddlery fitter at their home training facility.
Relied upon by leading national and international riders, Custom Saddlery tack offers collegiate athletes a tool to enhance their skills and continue growing in the sport of dressage. The Custom Saddlery Intercollegiate Dressage Association National Championship winners will have a leg-up as they begin their post-college riding careers using the same tack as elite riders Steffen Peters, Heather Blitz and Patrik Kittel.
Past Intercollegiate Dressage Association National Championship winner Amanda Defelice of Centenary College was thrilled to receive a Custom Saddle for winning her division on Individual Day. “We have one Custom Saddle at our school already, and it is my favorite saddle. My boss has two as well and I love riding in them. I did not have my own saddle before this show, and I’m so excited that I won the Custom Saddle,” Defelice said. Custom Saddlery is thankful to play an integral part in the development of collegiate dressage athletes by outfitting Defelice and many more riders with the tools they need for success.
Since its inception in 1995, Intercollegiate Dressage Association challenges students with catch-ride competitions and has more than 500 members from over 50 colleges and universities. The association said in a press release, “One of the unique opportunities Intercollegiate Dressage Association affords riders is the opportunity to be a part of a team. It enriches the experience for collegiate riders in so many ways. It is wonderful when the team work and support of each other is rewarded through exemplary riding and recognized with prizes such as a Custom Saddle. These riders are reminded every time they sit in their saddle the level of excellence they have achieved.”
Custom Saddlery is dedicated to promoting proper saddle fit, optimum rider balance, and seamless comfort for the horse and rider in all their top-quality saddles. With countless customizable options of saddle models, trees, sizes, colors and designs, Custom Saddlery offers options to suit every rider’s needs and preferences.
