Shipping your saddle to our shop

Boxing for shipment:

Ship your saddle in a sturdy corrugated shipping box. We use a 16”x18”x22” sized box to ship a single saddle. Boxes can be obtained from your local home improvement store, shipping store, or office supply. Used boxes are even better!  

Place your saddle inside a large plastic bag, then inside the shipping box. It should be a snug fit. If you use a larger box be sure to fill it in with air pillows, bubble wrap, or crumpled paper so your saddle doesn’t get jostled on the trip.

Thank you for NOT using packing peanuts. We prefer you ship your saddle without a cover, stirrup leathers, buck straps, etc.  

Shipping within the continental USA is $60.00 each way if you use our FedEx shipping label.

Warranty Information: 

NEW SADDLE WARRANTY: Coverage begins on the date of purchase. Leather is covered against defects in materials and craftsmanship for one (1) year. The saddle tree, spring steel, and stirrup bars are covered for five (5) years. Parts and labor are covered the first year; parts only are covered for the remainder of the warranty period. Your tree warranty may also be transferable under certain conditions. See your Custom Saddlery fitter for details.

DEMO/USED SADDLE WARRANTY:  Coverage begins on the date of manufacture. Leather is covered against defects in materials and craftsmanship for one (1) year from the manufacture date. The saddle tree, spring steel, and stirrup bars are covered for five (5) years. Parts and labor are covered the first year; parts only are covered for the remainder of the warranty period.

NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY:  Shipping and handling charges, saddles with premature wear and tear or damage resulting from misuse or neglect of reasonable use, cleaning, storage, and maintenance practices, saddles damaged from accidents, natural disasters, fires, vehicle wrecks, saddle fit and fitter services.

ALSO NOT COVERED & MAY VOID WARRANTY:  Damage to saddles caused by materials worn and/or used by rider that mar or damage the leather. This includes, but is not limited to silicone breeches, metal fasteners, zippers and buckles, boots, rubs and wear from reins and the like, parking saddle on a fence rail. This also includes the use of cleaning and care products not specifically recommended by manufacturer. Saddle service, repairs, & modification done by a third party not previously approved by Custom Saddlery. Reach out to your Custom Saddlery fitter or contact us directly for questions or concerns.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES: Equestrian sports can be dangerous. Custom Saddlery cannot be held liable and cannot be responsible for any loss, cost, damage, or injury resulting from the use of any saddle loaned, trialed, or sold. Leather products are made from natural materials and require special care and attention! Warranty repairs and replacements do not extend the lifetime of the original warranty. Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims & the final determination of warranty coverage will be made solely by Custom Saddlery.
